The Montcalm Conservation District was organized in 1948 as a local unit of government to help solve soil and water problems. Technical assistance is provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The district’s programs are directed toward erosion control, efficient land use, maintaining soil productivity, water management and promoting a stewardship for the land.

In compliance with the directives for the USDA Service Center, we cannot accept visitors in the office and continue teleworking. 

Recycling sites in Stanton, Lakeview, Carson City, Edmore and Crystal are open.  The sites continue to be very busy.  Please be mindful of the bin capacities and do not overfill or leave materials on the ground.  Your help in keeping the sites litter free is very beneficial to the recycling program!
