Room 138, Ash Building - MCC, 2800 College Dr, Sidney, MI 48885, USA

About the Event

MCC environmental science teacher, Heather Wesp, and MCD staff will cover why these seasonal ponds matter, how to identify them, how to identify the organisms they support, and what to do if you have them on your property. We will meet in classroom 138 in the Ash Building on MCC’s Sidney Campus before walking the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails to practice identifying and sampling vernal pools. This workshop will be mostly outdoors and hands-on, so be sure to wear waterproof footwear and dress for the weather.
