Model Forest BioBlitz

Join us Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. for our first bioblitz at the Comden-Towle Model Forest! A bioblitz is a community science program where participants record as many species in a certain time and place as they can. A bioblitz will allow us to quickly gauge biodiversity and health of the Model Forest. 

This is a great way to gain volunteer hours, learn how to identify all sorts of flora and fauna, and practice using the app iNaturalist. We will start with an iNaturalist crash course before using the app to record photo observations. We will end by helping each other identify our findings.

Please download the iNaturalist app and join our project in advance. To join, create a free iNaturalist account and scan the QR code on the flyer or search “Comden-Towle Model Forest BioBlitz August 2026” under the Projects tab on either the app or desktop version.
