Frost aster is a flowering perennial that produces frosty white blooms in late summer through fall. One of its common names, “old field aster,” refers to its ability to thrive in disturbed habitats. Frost aster is a nectar source for pollinators in the spring and summer and provides a seed source for song birds throughout the winter months.
