Heart-leaved aster is a perennial in the daisy family that blooms in the late summer and fall. Its flower heads have a yellow center of disc flowers surrounded by ray flowers that can range from pale purple to blue or white. Heart-leaved aster can be found in woodlands and meadows. Heart-leaved aster serves as a nectar source for bees and butterflies.
