Rough Blazing Star is a perennial flowering plant that produces a stalk of fuzzy, round purple blooms. Rough Blazing Star is a nectar source for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and also attracts songbirds because of its seeds. Rough Blazing Star adapts to a variety of soil types, but will thrive best in sandy or rocky soil.
