Showy goldenrod is a perennial flowering plant that blooms upright stalks of tiny, yellow flowers in late summer and fall. Showy goldenrod can be found in open areas such as fields, prairies, woodland edges and roadsides. This hardy wildflower is resistant to disease, drought and deer damage. Showy goldenrod provides food for a wide variety of native bees, butterflies and songbirds.
